Eternal Heavenly Father, dawn begins to break and soon
I will realease my Brindle dogs to hunt another day.
I earnestly plead for thy presence within my heart as well
as within the hearts of those who accompany me.
May Thy overwhelming glory be seen in the mountains
and streams I traverse; may I acknowledge Thy being in
the crisp air I breath; may I know Thy awesomeness in
the towering trees of Thy handiwork; may I witness Thy
magnificence in the wild things I pursue.
Lord, I pray for safety today- for my comapanions, both
man and dog. Be with them Lord.
Guide and preserve me as I go about my tasks. May a
spirit of fairness and honesty envelpoe me;and, at the
end of successful hunt, if I need not, may I find peace in
leaving my game safe and unharmed to run another day, that
on the day I may need it, it may be there if it be your will.
Almighty God, I thank you for the pleasures and
blessings of hunting, knowing that you are the Author
of all good, clean and pure things. Lord many times
I have not acknowledged Thy loving generosity. I have
taken for granted the joy and innocence of little puppies,
the achievments of a prized and trusted dog, the curiosity
of my children, the understanding of my family, and the
beauty and glory of nature.
Your Sun is topping the mountains now, Lord My Plotts are
on the ground. I know that Thou art with me. I feel Thy
soothing love. Thank you blessed Lord Jesus for the coming
joy of this, thy day.
AMEN
