Tis the Season!

Well things have been so busy here I haven't had time for updating anything on here. We have been blessed beyond our understanding and are so thankful to God for what he has done in our lives here, though we have  loved ones we miss very much at home we are so grateful for what we've been given. Our new church family and friends have been nothing short of welcoming and full of encouragement! It is a blessing to hear the Word preached and to be convicted of our shortcomings. A lot has happened since we moved, Abigail dearest has turned One year old! We got the chance to experience a true FALL, and cook stove worthy weather. Jess' job has been very exciting and fruitful for him and for the store, God has given him such a friendly demeanor that people seem to like. We have learned quite a bit about what it means to be a teamster and how fun the teams of horses and mules are to work. It's Christmas time already and we can't believe it! Ahh where has the time gone?? Anyways here are some random pictures to go with the post...
God bless Yall and to Yall a good night!

Following the Lord, to a new state

OK, so maybe you've heard. We will be moving this October to TN! OK, so now you HAVE heard.
God has brought Jess and I many places in these last few years, to places we never thought we would be and made us people we never thought we'd be. He prepared us for things not yet seen in our future, and broke some of our unwillingness to follow Him. We have indeed been introduced to some of the struggles of fighting the culture of modern society, and I have not liked it one bit! I guess I assumed I was entitled to be comfortable and out of scoffers reach 7 out of 7 days in the week. WRONG : ) But like I said, God has made us people we never thought we could be.  This alteration in our lives is no exception to the nay-Sayers and ridiculers, you know..."Do you know what your doing?", "How are you going to pay for this?" , "Why would you leave your PERFECT little life to risk it all?", and of course my favorite..."Are you going to be like those Amish people?" (spoken with fear and trembling in their pitch). I do not possess the energy to explain God's wonderment and doors He has opened to make this life change possible.  There can be no negative implications when you follow the Lords lead.  Besides you will end up where He wants you in the end no matter how you try to change it.  With that out of my system, we want to say how excited we are to do this and how excited we are to be a part of this business adventure. It will be no easy feat to work up from the bottom again, but hey who expects a free handout for not working hard? Not us. We thank you all who are an encouragement to us and have shown us love and understanding.  We also thank those of you who have questioned us, and made us think hard about those tough questions. But most of all we thank the Lord for his unending love and mercy in this life. Besides, who wouldn't want 4 seasons and a little snow! We cannot wait to get started and get to work! I will be running a blog for "the Back to the Land Store", and I look forward to that! It is such a wonderful company and stands for some great things. We look forward to posting more info, but I thought I would at least get this much out there!

Thanks and God Bless,
The B's
